Cherry Surprises

Ingredients

• 1/3 cup Crisco
• 1 3/4 cups sifted cake flour
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup milk
• 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
• 1 jar maraschino cherries, drained

Instructions

1. Mix. Pour batter into a 13 x 9 inch pan and bake at 375 degrees F.
2. Cool and cut into squares.
