Award-Winning Ghirardelli Brownies

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup Ghirardelli chocolate, ground
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Using a spoon, stir eggs with sugar and vanilla extract; add butter.
  3. Sift ground chocolate with flour, baking powder, salt. Stir into egg mixture; add nuts.
  4. Spread into greased 8 or 9 inch square pan.
  5. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Cut into squares.

Notes

For extra chewy brownies, use an 8 inch pan and less baking time.

For cake-like brownies, use a 9 inch pan and longer baking time.
