Striped Delight

This is one of my favorite desserts.

Ingredients

Layer 1

• 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/3 cup butter, melted

Layer 2

• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1/2 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed

Layer 3

• 2 small boxes Jell-O chocolate flavor instant pudding & pie filling
• 3 1/2 cups cold milk

Layer 4

• 1/2 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed

Instructions

Layer 1

1. Combine Graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan.

Layer 2

1. Beat cream cheese with sugar and milk until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip topping. Spread over crust. (When I make this layer I just beat the Cool Whip into the cream cheese rather than fold it in. It gives a more uniform taste.)

Layer 3

1. Using cold milk, prepare pudding as directed on package. Pour over cream cheese layer, chill several hours or overnight.

Layer 4

1. Spread Cool Whip topping over pudding. Garnish with grated chocolate or nuts, if desired.
