Cream Cheese, Nut and Olive Sandwiches
This has always been a favorite of ours. For some reason, we always take this on road trips, especially when we travel the Apache Trail and picnic at the Indian ruins overlooking Roosevelt Lake.
Ingredients
- 2 (16 ounce) packages cream cheese
- 1/4 cup real mayonnaise
- 1 to 2 tablespoons olive juice (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped stuffed green or black olives
- Dash of freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Let cream cheese soften for a little while.
- Blend remaining ingredients into cream cheese.
- Use as a spread between two slices of whole grain bread.
