Turkey Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly-ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage or
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, allspice or mace
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the turkey, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, ginger and the nutmeg, allspice or mace. Mix together well. Scoop out a small nugget of the mixture. Form into a patty.
  2. In a large frying pan over high heat, warm a thin film of olive oil.
  3. Fry the patties, turning once, until golden and cooked through, about 4 minutes on each side.
