Maple Glazed Walnuts

A sweet snack...a tasty topping for salads...the perfect accompaniment for a bowl of oatmeal....the uses for a sweet candied walnut are endless. This recipe showcases how well walnuts and maple syrup pair.

Maple Glazed Walnuts

Cook: 5 min | Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups California walnut halves
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a dry skillet over a medium-high heat.
  2. Add the walnuts, maple syrup and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until syrup is caramelized and nuts are toasted, about 3 minutes.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
