One Pot Sausage Pasta

When craving comfort food and don't want to spend a ton of time preparing a meal when camping or at home, try this one-pot recipe to deliver big flavor. Everything, including spaghetti, is cooked in one pot for a complete meal...Voila!

One Pot Sausage Pasta

Prep: 10 min | Cook: 30 min | Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 (13.5 ounce) packages Johnsonville® Smoked Rope Sausage, cut into coin-size pieces
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti noodles, broken in half
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cups grape tomatoes, halved
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic butter salt
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the sausage, water, noodles, onion, tomatoes, garlic, basil, garlic salt and garlic butter salt.
  2. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Uncover; cook and stir for 5 to 10 minutes to reduce water.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese and olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese and fresh basil.
