Dutch Apple Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups diced apples
- 1 teaspoon salt
Topping
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
Cake
- Combine sugar, eggs, oil, flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon.
- Fold in apples.
- Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
Topping
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle on top of batter.
- Sprinkle pecans on top and bake at 325 degrees F for 40 to 50 minutes.
