Irish Crème Brûlée

Impress friends and family with this elegant dessert, which features a unique accent of Irish Crème. With a smooth, velvety texture and a glaze of caramelized sugar, this treat is sure to elicit Irish good cheer.

Irish Creme Brulee

Prep: 15 min | Cook: 77 min | Cool: 30 min | Yield: 5 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Irish Crème Flavor Nestlé Coffee-Mate Liquid Coffee Creamer
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place coffee creamer, cream, granulated sugar and salt in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Beat egg yolks in medium bowl; gradually whisk cream mixture into egg yolks.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour mixture into five 6 ounce custard cups. Place cups in 13 x 9 inch baking pan; fill pan with hot water to 1-inch depth. Loosely cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 70 minutes or until gently set in center.
  7. Remove to wire rack to cool slightly.
  8. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  9. Heat broiler. Sprinkle each crème brûlée evenly with brown sugar. Broil for 2 minutes or until sugar is melted and caramelized.
  10. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until topping hardens.
