Common School Blueberry Muffins
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease tins.
- Sift together dry ingredients; add blueberries to flour mixture and stir gently.
- Mix egg, milk and butter together. Add to flour mixture; mix only enough to moisten flour. Do not beat. Fill tins 3/4 full.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
