Sugar Gems
Yield: 80 large cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 pound butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 9 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Cream sugar, butter and oil until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Sift dry ingredients together and blend in well.
- Scoop up spoonful, place in colored sugar and place sugared side up on cookie sheet. Press down with glass bottom.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
