Cheese Head Chex Mix®

Editorial director Jeff Nowak shares this hearty Cheddar Chex Mix® snack recipe inspired by his favorite football team. “As a fan who bleeds green and gold, I had to create a signature snack to serve for the Big Game,” says Jeff.

Cheese Head Chex Mix

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) bag Chex Mix® Cheddar snack mix
  • 2 cups sourdough pretzel nibblers
  • 1 (6 ounce) can smoked almonds
  • 9 ounces hard salami, cut into 1/2 inch cubes (about 2 cups)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese cubes (about 1 1/2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in large serving bowl.
  2. Just before serving toss in the salami and cheese cubes.
  3. Serve immediately.
  4. Refrigerate remaining.

Notes

If you’re throwing a green and gold game-day party, consider adding green food coloring to the beer served with Cheese Head Chex Mix®.
