Flemish Stew
Yield: 3 to 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 pounds beef or venison stew meat, cubed
- Pinch of thyme
- 1 can beer
- Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Brown onion and meat in a small amount of oil. Add seasonings. Put into casserole and pour in beer.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Check it after about 1 1/2 hours. You may want to reduce the heat or increase the liquid.
- Serve over noodles or wild rice.
