BBQ Chicken Stromboli
The flavors of BBQ sauce, chicken, cheese, onion and cilantro combine to make this delicious Stromboli.
Prep: 30 min | Bake: 30 min | Yield: 8 to 10 servings
Ingredients
- 6 Rhodes Texas™ Rolls or 9 Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Spray counter lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine rolls and roll into a 10 x 13 inch rectangle.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let rest.
- In a medium bowl, combine chicken, cheese, onion, cilantro and paprika and mix well.
- Remove wrap from dough and brush evenly with BBQ sauce.
- Spread chicken mixture evenly over BBQ sauce to within 1/2 inch of edges. Starting with a long side, roll up jelly roll style. Wet edge with water and pinch seam to seal. Place, seam side down, on a sprayed baking sheet. Turn ends under slightly.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes.
