Hot Crab Hero

Yield: about 12 to 14 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) loaf French bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
  2. Slice bread horizontally in half; spread cut sides with butter.
  3. Top with cheese: spread with crab mixture.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until browned.
