Meat Pies
Yield: 40 meat pies
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- Ground cinnamon, to taste
- Salt and pepper
- 2 (10 ounce) cans flaky refrigerator biscuits
- Oil (for deep fat frying)
Instructions
- Brown meat and onion. Add next five ingredients. Break up meat while browning. The meat does not have to be cooked; just stir until all ingredients are mixed. Place in refrigerator until cold.
- Pull apart each flaky biscuit to make two. Roll each one out on a floured board.
Place a heaping teaspoon of cold filling on each biscuit round. Fold over and crimp edges to seal. Place on tray in freezer.
- When frozen, take out and drop in hot oil to fry. Drain and serve or return to freezer.
Notes
Can freeze for up to 3 months.
