King's Hawaiian Rolls

King's Hawaiian Rolls with pineapple juice and ginger! These are scrumptious.

Kings Hawaiian Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 6 cups + 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, divided
  • 2 (1/4 ounce) envelopes yeast

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs.
  2. Add the pineapple juice, sugar, ginger, vanilla extract and butter.
  3. Place 3 cups of flour in a large bowl. Stir in the egg mixture until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle in the yeast, one packet at a time, and mix.
  5. Add another 3 cups of flour and mix in. Blending with a spoon will be difficult, so you may have to use your hands. Make sure it is thoroughly combined.
  6. Cover the bowl with a cloth and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from the bowl and knead in the remaining 1/2 cup flour. Knead about 10 times.
  8. Divide into three equal parts.
  9. Place in greased and floured loaf pans or shape into rolls. Cover and place in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes or golden brown..
