Peanut Butter and Jam Bars

Great swirls of flavor! Here's a frosted bar with a favorite peanut butter and jam combo.

Peanut Butter and Jam Bars

Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 1 (17.5 ounce) pouch Betty Crocker® peanut butter cookie mix
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips

Topping

  • 1 (16 ounce) container Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup seedless raspberry or strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir all Cookie Base ingredients until soft dough forms.
  3. Press dough in bottom of pan using floured fingers.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  5. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl, stir frosting, milk and peanut butter until well blended.
  7. Spread over base.
  8. Stir jam; drop by teaspoonsful over frosting.
  9. Swirl jam for a marbled design with tip of knife.
  10. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until set.
  11. For bars, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows.

Notes

To swirl jam into frosting, use a narrow knife, toothpick or small metal spatula.

Use crunchy peanut butter if you prefer crunch.
