Bacon Cheeseburger Skillet Meal

This one-skillet bacon cheeseburger dinner can be whipped up in just 30 minutes. Cook bacon first and then mix ground beef, ketchup and mustard in a large bowl. Stir in Zatarain’s® Dirty Rice Mix, and you’ll have a feast the whole family will love.

Bacon Cheeseburger Skillet Meal recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup French's® Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Zatarain's® Creole Mustard Squeeze Bottle
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 package Zatarain's® Dirty Rice Dinner Mix
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet on medium high heat until crisp. Remove from pan. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Mix ground beef, ketchup and mustard in a large bowl until well blended.
  3. Add ground beef mixture and onion to skillet. Cook and stir until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat.
  4. Stir in rice mix and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add tomato; cover and cook 5 minutes longer or until rice is tender.
  6. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover and let stand until cheese is melted.
