Teriyaki Chicken

Teriyaki Chicken is very easy to make with only five ingredients.

Yield: 2 to 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mirin
  • 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons oil neutral tasting oil like canola or sunflower

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, mirin and ginger in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Add chicken to marinade, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. When ready to cook, add oil into a hot heavy pan ovr high heat.
  4. Sear chicken thighs on both sides until brown (about 2 minutes on each side).
  5. Pour reserved marinade into the pan, lid on and turn the heat to low; simmer for about 4 to 5 minutes until chicken is cooked.
  6. Serve with a bowl of steamed rice and cooked broccoli.
