Teriyaki Chicken
Teriyaki Chicken is very easy to make with only five ingredients.
Yield: 2 to 4 servings
Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons mirin
- 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons oil neutral tasting oil like canola or sunflower
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, mirin and ginger in a large bowl and mix well.
- Add chicken to marinade, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- When ready to cook, add oil into a hot heavy pan ovr high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs on both sides until brown (about 2 minutes on each side).
- Pour reserved marinade into the pan, lid on and turn the heat to low; simmer for about 4 to 5 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- Serve with a bowl of steamed rice and cooked broccoli.
