Peanut Butter Snack Sticks
Ingredients
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 loaf day old bread (frozen)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
Instructions
- Heat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Trim edges from bread slices while still frozen. Reserve crusts. Cut each slice into four strips.
- Put strips and edges into oven for 30 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Melt butter; add peanut butter. Dip toasted strips into hot mixture; roll in confectioners' sugar.
- Let cool.
- Dip again into hot mixture and roll in crumbs, which have been rolled fine from the toasted edges.
Notes
These can be made ahead and kept in an airtight container.
