Praline Pecan Crunch

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) box Quaker Squares, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 250 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. Combine cereal and pecans in pan; set aside.
  3. In a large microwavable bowl, combine sugar, corn syrup and butter. Stir.
  4. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute, 30 seconds.
  5. Stir. Heat again 30 seconds, or until boiling.
  6. Stir vanilla extract and baking soda into mixture, pour over cereal, coat evenly.
  7. Bake for1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  8. Cool completely, beak into pieces.
  9. Store tightly covered.
