Sausage Chowder
Ingredients
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 grated green bell pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 large can stewed tomatoes
- 4 diced medium potatoes
- 1 pound sausage (hot, medium or mild)
- Enough water to make soupy
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 or 3 bay leaves
Instructions
- Brown sausage; drain.
- Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes or until potatoes are done.
