This recipe came from my brother while he was traveling the country. He'd travel with a group of people who referred to themselves as lizards (for what reason, I don't know). Anyway, they'd make large amounts of this Special Brew whenever they passed through town and barter a half gallon of this with other traveling hippie-type people for whatever supplies they needed. Every time he passed through a place he'd been before, people would always ask for the recipe, but he kept it a secret, only sharing it with a very few people, including me.
And here it is.
A half-gallon of apple cider
Any flavor of HERBAL tea, three large tea bags
I've always used Cranberry Flavored herbal tea-bags, but any fruit-flavored herbal tea would be just as good.
1. Bring the cider to a boil.
2. Fill a half-gallon (2-quart) pitcher with ice.
3. When cider reaches boiling point, pour into pitcher over ice and 3 herbal tea bags.
4. Chill for an hour or two.
5. Serve and enjoy.
