Chocolate Animal Crackers recipe

1 large box animal crackers
1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
1 small piece paraffin
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
Colored sugar sprinkles (red and green for Christmas)

Melt chocolate and shortening in pan. Add paraffin. Stir until smooth. Dip animal crackers into chocolate, covering both sides. Take out with fork. Place on wax paper. While still hot, sprinkle with colored sugar sprinkles. Allow to harden.

Store in an airtight container.
