1 egg
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Stir together egg, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Add 1/2 cup flour sifted with salt and baking soda. Stir in nuts. Turn into a greased 8-inch square baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
