Marzipan Eggs
Yield: 2 pounds
1 pound blanched almonds, finely ground
1 pound confectioners' sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons orange extract
Food coloring
Combine ground almonds, confectioners' sugar and orange extract in a saucepan.
Cook until mixture leaves side of pan. Remove from hot pan; cool slightly. Roll
mixture into small egg shapes. Paint with food coloring. Place on wax paper
to dry for 2 hours.
