Butter Nut Balls Mix in a Jar recipe

Layer the following in a 1-quart jar:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups pecans, finely cut

Attach the following recipe on a gift tag:

Butter Nut Balls

Cream 1 cup of butter thoroughly. Add contents of jar and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Roll into walnut-size balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 35 minutes at 300 degrees F. Immediately roll in confectioners sugar, and let cool on wax paper.
